  • How many ounces in a bath salt favor?
    This is probably the most frequently asked question in regards to quantity of bath salt needed. Obviously this really depends on the size of your favor, however, standard favors for weddings etc...are usually between 2-4 ounces. As an example, a 2oz favour would be about the size of a standard tea bag.

  • Why do I need more than 16 ounces of salt for my 16 ounce jar?
    A 16oz jar is measured in fluid ounces. One (1)ounce of fluid weight is equal to approximately 1.125 ounces of salt weight. This is an average conversion as salts differ in size and weight, but for the most part this calculation should be reasonably accurate. For a more exact conversion on large quantities of salt, feel free to call us for help.

  • How many ounces are in a pound ?
    16 ounces are in a pound. 1 cup = 1/2 pound (8 ounces) 1/2 cup = 4 ounces 1/4 cup = 2 ounces

  • How many ounces are in a cup?
    A standard measuring cup holds 8 fluid ounces of water. So two cups would be equal to one pound (2x8 = 16 ounce). Remember that 16 ounce = 1 pound.

  • How do I measure the size of my jar/bag?
    One way of checking the size of your jar or bag is to fill it with standard table salt or sugar. You can then empty the contents into a measuring cup to see how many ounces you come up with. From there just use our bath salt calculator to determine the total amount of salt you need.
